Modern Mountaintop Residence

A refined balance of warmth and modern simplicity, the Westhills Residence was designed by designed by DB Interiors + Design, Victoria Interior Designer, to feel both elevated and deeply liveable. Clean architectural lines are softened with layered textures, natural materials, and thoughtful moments of contrast throughout the home.

At the heart of the space, a sculptural fireplace anchors the main living area, framed by vertical wood slat detailing that introduces rhythm and depth. Subtle integrated lighting, seen beneath floating benches and within open stair treads, adds a quiet sophistication while enhancing the home’s architectural features.

The entry sequence sets the tone with soaring ceilings, warm wood accents, and a custom staircase that feels both light and grounded. Throughout the home, a restrained palette of soft whites, natural oak, and matte black is enriched with moments of warmth through brass detailing and organic textures.

In the powder room, the design takes a more expressive turn. Rich botanical wallpaper and warm wood cabinetry are paired with sculptural lighting and brass fixtures, creating a jewel-box moment that contrasts beautifully with the home’s otherwise understated aesthetic.

Custom millwork plays a key role across multiple spaces, from integrated shelving to a functional and streamlined workspace, ensuring that every area feels intentional and cohesive. Furnishings and styling were carefully selected to enhance comfort without compromising the clean, modern language of the home.

The result is a home that feels calm, curated, and quietly luxurious, where every detail has been considered, and nothing feels overdone.
