Coastal Calm: A Thoughtful Transformation on the Water

Designed by DB Interiors + Design, Victoria Interior Designer, perched above the shoreline and surrounded by natural beauty, this historic coastal home was reimagined to reflect its serene setting while enhancing everyday functionality. The goal was to create a cohesive, light filled interior that feels both refined and relaxed, where every space connects effortlessly to the views beyond.

At the heart of the home, the kitchen was designed as a central gathering place. A soft blue island anchors the space, bringing a subtle coastal influence while complementing the crisp white cabinetry and warm wood flooring. Clean lines, layered textures, and carefully selected finishes create a timeless palette that feels fresh without overpowering the natural surroundings. Large windows frame uninterrupted water views, allowing natural light to flood the space throughout the day.

Upstairs, the primary suite embraces simplicity and calm. Expansive doors open to a private deck overlooking the ocean, blurring the line between indoors and out. The material palette continues with warm wood tones and soft neutrals, creating a restful retreat grounded in its environment.

The en-suite bathroom was designed with both comfort and clarity in mind. A spacious layout, clean tile detailing, and a custom double vanity provide a balance of function and understated luxury. Subtle texture in the finishes adds visual interest while maintaining a calming, spa like atmosphere.

Throughout the home, thoughtful planning and detailing ensure each space feels intentional and connected. The result is a home that not only captures the beauty of its coastal setting, but enhances how it is experienced every day.
